From MacArthur for Congress:

Continuing an impressive rollout of bipartisan endorsements, Tom MacArthur today announced that he has been endorsed by the Humane Society Legislative Fund (HSLF). According to their website, the Humane Society Legislative Fund was formed in 2004 and works to pass animal protection laws at the state and federal levels, to educate the public about animal protection issues, and to support humane candidates for office. In the 2014 cycle, the HSLF has endorsed 38 Republicans and 240 Democrats in races across the country.

Tom MacArthur stated, “My wife Debbie and I have always been strong supporters of animals in need. We have supported the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter, ASPCA, and animals who were victims of Hurricane Katrina. We are blessed to have several dogs and cats that we rescued from death or abuse. Animals have always been a major part of turning our house into a home. This is a very meaningful endorsement and I truly look forward to continuing to be a strong voice for the humane treatment of all animals once I am elected to Congress.”
