Small businesswoman slams Conaway and Conners

for economic and fiscal mess that is New Jersey today

Mount Holly, October 12, 2009 – The National Federation of Independent Businesses announced that it will be supporting one of its own, 7th District Assembly candidate Leah Arter, in her bid to knock off career tax and spend politicians Herb Conaway and Jack Conners this November.

Arter, the Owner and President of Imprintz Custom Printed Graphics, Inc. in Beverly, which is majority female owned and employs seven people.  Arter started with the company, which produces screen printing and promotional products, in 1994 and took over as owner in 2003 after working in every sector of the company.

“I am truly humbled by this endorsement of my peers in the small business community,” said Arter.  “I know firsthand the struggles of owning a business in New Jersey; we compete with similar companies located just across the Delaware River who have a much more business-friendly environment in which to operate.  I look forward to getting to the Assembly and changing the anti-business culture that my opponents have perpetuated for a decade.”

When attending the Burlington County Chamber of Commerce forum between the candidates for the 7th District Assembly, Arter was shocked to see how wildly out-of-touch Assemblyman Herb Conaway is when it comes to the issues people face in New Jersey as they struggle to make ends meet:

…we’ve still been able to preserve…a working climate of affordability that allows people to grow here and have extended family here.” –Herb Conaway, Burlington County Times article 9/30/09
