Thanks to the leadership of Freeholder Director Mary Ann O’Brien, our Burlington County Freeholders are leading the fight against a proposed hazardous waste incinerator that would be located across the Delaware River in Falls Township, Pennsylvania.
Freeholder Director Mary Ann O’Brien wrote in a letter to Acting Secretary Dana Aunkst of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: “Authorities must consider the negative impact a facility incinerating approximately 200,000 tons of hazardous waste each year — by the applicants own estimate — will have on the area’s residents.”
